Help Save Marriage – A Testimony Of Love
Marriage Saving is a Work Plan.
Both of you must be prepared to work hard to mend the pieces of your jeopardized relationship & understand that the process will require both time and effort. The last thing you want is getting your relationship into a bigger mess than it is already.. If need be, you may have to swallow your pride and take the initial step, even if you strongly believe that you aren’t the one who is in the wrong. Sacrifices are part of saving a marriage. No one said that saving marriage would be easy.
Help Save My Marriage Means “Stop the Complaints”.
Complaining is not much different from nagging. You may not have thought of this, but frequent complaining to your spouse is also indicating that they’re doing something wrong. You certainly can’t force someone to change. Understand that all real change comes from within. If there are things about your partner that you want to change, they should understand this for themselves.
You can alienate your partner more by trying to compel him into changing when that’s the last thing in his mind or pressuring him to believe in something that he doesn’t believe in. The continuous badgering will make your partner feel as though you don’t appreciate them for the unique person they are.
You can help promote change in your partner simply by positively encouraging their efforts when you see effort being made. Change doesn’t happen instantly and you know that, but the effort is enough to make you happy. Positive encouragement is more effective than verbal disapproval.
If you are the one who is always getting the disapproval and complaints, try to go a different way than you normally do. You shouldn’t get defensive and then instantly begin protesting. But instead, try listening to your spouse and try to understand why they are complaining.
Try and hear the things your spouse is trying to tell you. You want your spouse to comprehend that you’re making an earnest and sincere effort to view it from their side for a change. Saving a marriage is never easy, particularly if you feel that you are the one who is right but you need to prove to your spouse that you’re going to do whatever necessary for your marriage to be saved.
You never know the positive that can result from learning to communicate with your partner. Even if you don’t end up seeing the matter “eye-to-eye”, your spouse will surely value your efforts in trying to understand their wants and needs.
Final marriage saving tip: Be tolerant and encouraging to one another and realize that saving your marriage will certainly take time. You will get upset some days and other days will be less difficult…take each day one by one. Don’t worry about the petty things and avoid quarrels. Always be mindful of the bigger picture…the end result. Talk is cheap so show your good intentions through your deeds.
