It is alleged that the new procedure has led to a rise in an old tactic amongst insurers. The Insurance companies acting for the liable driver contact the claimant offering early settlement of their claim. Often the insurance companies exaggerate the price and complexity of working with a road accident solicitor so that the claimant will feel pressured into accepting the early settlement. However, the insurance companies are not necessarily offering as high a settlement as might be achieved with a road accident solicitor. It is therefore more important than ever to enlist the help of a road accident solicitor.
